FOR STANDARD BODIES & ASSURANCE
Verification that scales without adding field inspectors - and cuts the unbillable preparation time on every engagement.
Standard bodies, certification schemes and assurance firms need agricultural evidence that survives their own file review and oversight audit. Spacenus supplies four-stream verified evidence packs containing boundary documentation, field identity, sampling design with evidence of execution, laboratory records with chain of custody, model version records, quantified uncertainty and a ten-year trail, with ISO 14064-3 and ISSA 5000 annexes pre-filled. Spacenus is not a validation or verification body and never certifies against a standard. Interpretation stays with the scheme.
Standard Bodies & Certification Schemes
You need scalable verification methodology for member farms that replaces costly physical audits - without reducing evidence quality. You need a tamper-resistant audit trail that stands up to increasing regulatory and media scrutiny. You need a technology partner whose independence is structural, not rhetorical.
Sustainability Auditors & Assurance Firms
You sign off on CSRD reports. When you reach agricultural Scope 3 data, you need a technically traceable, independently verified primary data source you can place reliance on, with a documented, reproducible basis. You need uncertainty quantification, reproducibility, and a documented methodology that passes your own professional standards review.
TWO AUDIENCES, ONE PLATFORM
THE CHALLENGE
Physical audits do not scale
Sending inspectors to every member farm is cost-prohibitive at scale. Survey-based verification is cheap but not tamper-resistant. You need a verification architecture that is both scalable and testable.
Farmer-declared data is insufficient
Declarations alone - without independent cross-check, are a greenwashing liability. One high-profile data integrity failure damages the credibility of the entire standard. You need multi-source evidence that cannot be falsified without detection.
CSRD limited assurance is demanding primary data
When food companies submit sustainability reports with agricultural Scope 3 data sourced from your programme, their CSRD auditors need to verify that the underlying data is credible. If your verification methodology cannot support limited assurance, you create a problem for your members.
The 2027 LSR Standard changes the bar
GHG Protocol LSR Standard (effective 1 January 2027) requires primary land-sector data with full spatial traceability and audit documentation. Standards that do not align with LSR will face questions from food company buyers whose own compliance requires LSR-conformant inputs.
HOW SPACENUS SOLVES IT
THE DIGITAL PROOF OF PRACTICE (DPP) CERTIFICATE
The DPP certificate is not a monitoring report. It is an assurance-grade evidence document built for audit scrutiny.
01
GPS-stamped farmer declaration with timestamped practice claim
02
Geotagged field photographs cross-checked against field-GPS coordinates
03
Spatial cross-validation result against verified regional baseline
04
Documented and quantified uncertainty assessment
05
Methodology reference with aligned standards and requirements
Every certificate is audit-ready, registry-compatible, and CSRD-traceable.
THREE WAYS TO WORK WITH SPACENUS
Embed verification, support CSRD audits, or develop methodologies - here is how Spacenus works with you.
Standard embedding
Embed DPP triangulation in your standard's verification framework. Spacenus provides the satellite cross-check layer; your programme operators and members use it through your platform. Model: API integration or white-label.
Assurance firm integration
Spacenus provides DPP-backed agricultural verification packs structured for CSRD limited assurance workflows. Your engagement teams receive a pre-packaged, technically traceable agricultural data input. Auditor role access: open any enrolled farmer’s evidence pack directly in the platform - read-only, fully logged.*
Registry methodology
Spacenus is actively engaged with Verra VM0042.v3 and EU CRCF methodology consultation processes. For registries considering technology requirements, Spacenus offers technical input and methodology co-development.
*Packs arrive with pre-filled ISO 14064-3 / ISSA 5000 annexes, sampling frames, QA/QC logs and full chain of custody — built to withstand oversight review of the verification body itself, and to cut your engagement teams’ unbillable preparation time. Same professional judgement; less evidence gathering.

-
No, and it never will be. Spacenus holds no accreditation under ISO 14065 or ISO/IEC 17029 and does not certify against any standard. Interpretation and the certification decision stay with the verification body and the scheme. Spacenus supplies the evidence pack the verifier relies on, built to survive an oversight review of that verifier.
-
Boundary documentation and field identity, the sampling design and evidence of its execution, laboratory records with chain of custody, model version and run records, the uncertainty calculation, a contemporaneously dated baseline file and a change log. Annexes arrive pre-filled to ISO 14064-3 and ISSA 5000 formats, with a ten-year retrievable trail per field.
-
No. Satellite data cannot observe soil organic carbon stock, bulk density or fertiliser application, and a farmer declaration alone is not testable. Continuous multi-stream monitoring narrows what a physical audit has to establish and shortens preparation. It does not remove the need for accredited professional judgement, and Spacenus does not claim that it does.
-
Evidence arrives structured rather than assembled: annexes pre-filled, sampling frames stated, QA/QC logs attached, chain of custody complete, every field retrievable for ten years. The professional judgement is unchanged. The hours removed are the evidence-gathering hours that cannot be invoiced to the client.
